Kindly note that this process is only needed for Eductor64 software versions older that 3-3-2018, September 2020.
The latest Eductor64 software auto detects the COM Port and there is no need to set the port number to 1.

- the driver of the device is not installed correctly
- the communication (COM) port is not set to COM1

The version number of the QXCI/SCIO/EDUCTOR/INDIGO Software is displayed on the top bar when opening the Software. The Software Version number usually has a format of day-month-year, for example 3-3-2016.

Kindly note that the QXCI has reached its end of life.
The latest software is not QXCI compatible and the QXCI does not work on new computers.
You need an older computer that runs Windows 7 32 bit and that has a 25 pin printer port.
Hence the only option would be to source a used computer from a PC store.
